It is with much sadness that the Lodge announces the passing to The Grand Lodge above of Bro. Kenneth Lindsay RWPGM, PM, Treasurer on Monday 2nd August 2010. The funeral service was in St Michael's Parish Church followed by a commital at Falkirk Crematorium. |

It is the will of the Right Worshipful Master to re-instate an annual or biennial ball in October or November 2010. Members are asked to consider what needs to be done to assist in meeting this request. Any and all ideas welcome - please speak to any of the lodge office bearers.

On behalf of myself, past masters, office bearers and brethren of Ancient Brazen, a huge thank you to all of the brethren and lodges that attended our annual installation and Festival of St John on Feb 13th 2010 - in particular, Mary's Chapel No 1 , The Douglas Lodge 409, Lodge Zetland 391, and Lodge Greyfriars 1221. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with the usual toasts and topped off with a solo of "Amazing Grace" before an excellent meal from Abbie Stevenson (aged 12) followed by two medleys from Linlithgow Rugby Club Ladies Choir. Thanks also to Fiona, Rosemary, Liz, Leigh, Holly and Kyle for what can only be described as excellent quality catering that would put most commercial outfits to shame and for Carol for her usual assistance behind the bar. Roll on next year !!

"Request for help" |
As you will have gathered from the Welcome our Lodge Room is 100 years old and the premises have developed some serious maintenance problems which we must attend to as soon as possible. Unfortunately, like a lot of other organisations, we do not have large cash reserves to draw upon for this work. We have launched an appeal to raise sufficient finances to make the building wind and watertight and will also be holding fund raising events throughout the year. Any assistance or suggestions that can be offered will be most welcome. |
